Does this game play like Risk?

I'v never played any of these games before but from looking at pictures and videos it looks kinda like it would play like Risk or Axis and Allies (both games i love) am i right to assume this?

Its not at all like Risk. Its way more detailed and in depth. Nothing about the game is generic and you can really make your military very detailed rather than cookie cutter infantry, artillery, etc.

Its more detailed, you create actual divisions with your custom build of regiments and group them into corpuses and those into armies and those armies to army groups and those to the particular theatre of war. So its quite the WW2 simulator.
