Installing a Mod

Can someone, anyone please explain how to install mods onto HOI3, in great detail please

its black ice, i do everything they say in the directions and it still doesnt work

I took me 3 days to figure out how to make mods work (like re-textured map for example).

1. Download and unzip your mod in the TFH/mod directory (not the HOI3/mod! directory), there should be 2 files per unzipped mod to copy

2. download link to thread that explains how and where to download the exe I am talking about and replace the existing exe in your HOI3 game folder

3. Start the game and select the mods in the launcher you want to play with!

i've actually done all that, stilldoesnt work

none, it jsut wont start, nor will it show up in the check box in the launcher

Maybe reinstall your hoi again first or at least do an integrity check? Maybe you've got non steam versions installed and placed the mod there? I've experienced trouble with installing hoi in drives other than the C: drive. To install black ice specifically, you should read their installation manual. It's only 3 steps and it should work. http://blackicemod.com/doc/installation Their instruction are pretty fail/fool prove, maybe you've misread something ?

Did you replace the normal TFH.exe with Podcats speciaal tfh.exe (that allows for > 2GB Mem).
Also did you start the game with the special Blackice-launcher that came with the mod?
