"Support our Party" broken?

Trying to get an early anschluss of austria with max spies after reading some ppl have got it in early 1937. After 8 months party support is -2%. Im doing the same thing in the USA and theyre stuck at a paltry 4%. Am i just wasting espionage resources? Any way to fix this?

Remember that for the Anschluss you don't need popularity. The event requires either party popularity or party organisation to be at 40, and org gets there much faster than pop.

And are you using max spies and and removing Austria's spies when necessary?

Party support usually takes a plummet in the short term from "support our party", and then starts to increase over time in the long term.

Are you making sure that you have 10 spies there doing your "support our party" at all times?
