Hearts of Iron 3 TFH: Mods not working

Taking this here since apparently either no one else encountered this or people are still searching for a solution. I am using the Imperium mod, btw (https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/mod-imperium.831694/)
So, I start up the game after selecting the mod. It starts up fine, but once I pick a country and click Play, it crashes during loading at various points.

I have no idea what the problem is. I tried registering the game as suggested, but that doesnt work (As there IS NO REGISTER PAGE ANYMORE) and I doubt that would solve it anyway. I also tried clearing the map cache folders, but all I got was a completely white world map, no labels, and even then the crash persists.

Is there any way to fix this?

There absolutely is a Register Game Page. You need to be logged in to the forum to see it. It is exactly the 4th link across the top.

I just tried this. Registering does not seem to change anything, as the mod still does not work.

Registering the game will not fix any issue. It allows you to post in the MOD section so the mod author, in this case, Yugulo, and any people that might be able to help can now see you have a legal copy of the game.

Generally, no one will offer help unless they can see the icon indicating it is a legal copy. If you are Calebc789 the icon is now showing and I would think someone would assist you now, if they can. Give it a little time. Good luck!



EDIT: After looking at the Mod Authors thread it specifies this:
" You need Hearts of Iron + Their Finest Hour + 4.02 patch"

First random thought, do you have the expansions?

2nd EDIT: I did find someone with the same issue you are reporting above. The Mod author suggests;

"Try to delete "Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron III\IMPERIUM\gfx", "logs", "map" and "music" folders. Then download latest version available and play it."

I have just tried that. Instructions were unclear but I tried to follow them the best I could. Literally no difference, it still crashes at the exact same loading screen.

I feel like I am losing it trying to get this damn mod to work.

I have never used mods for the game, so I am at a loss for further suggestions, other than hope someone responds on the Paradox forums to your post. Good luck.
