So is this worth it?
I have hoi4 and its wonderful one of my favorite rts games of all time but my question is, hoi3 worth buying it even though i have hoi4 ?

HOI3 is very much different from HOI4, but also a lot better... HOI4 is for more casual strategy gamers whereas HOI3 is for more hardcore ones.

Personally I favour HOI3 in every aspect except for the HOI4 equipment system... HOI4 is however a lot more modding friendly compared to HOI3 (having worked on MW for HOI3 and currently MillDawn for HOI4)...

If you do infact buy HOI3, get the 3 major DLC aswell as they add alot to the game...

I can also recommend the mod BlackIce for HOI3, and suggest you watch some videos to see if it's to your liking :)

Try out BLACKER ICE (not BLACK ICE) mod and you will only play HOI 4 for fun - HOI 4 is an AXIS & ALLIES game

i struggled with HOI 4 and its game play. 3 was a total joy to play. Much more fun and built tensions up perfectly in the war years. I would recommend you buy it when on discount here.

Agreed with last comment buy the full package.

2077 hour hoi3 4 hours hoi4. Owned game since 2009. Check out the modifications on paradox website. Can be some difficulties getting game to run well at first?

Hoi3 is much better than Hoi4 and is a true WW2 strategy game. Be prepared to spend some time downloading podcat exe and adjusting screen resolutions, etc. to get it to run on Win10.

HoI 3 is a much more complex game than its successor. I bought it in 2011, my first Paradox game since HoI 2, but kept it on the Steam shelf for a few years due to the steep learning curve and my lack of free time to invest in studying the game.

I bought HoI 4 the year it came out, and it "trained" me for HoI 3. So owning 4 has already taught you the basics of Paradox's UI and gameplay mechanics. :) The OoB and command chain in 3 is very important, and something that 4 glossed over if even acknowledged at all.

If you play with BlackICE you might as well receive a military commission.

HOI3 is the best WW2 strategy game of all time.. Multiplayer with 20 people all over the world is amazing.. long, complicated and exhausting.
HOI4 is fun too, but shorter..

Well I am not - I just think its the best MOD for HOI 3 and its not very well known. The attempt at insulting me is weak and uncalled for, dont go there.

I am not trying to insult you, dude. Keep calm! I was just curious because I have been reading the same SPAM message in many topics "BLACK ICE SUCKS, Vanilla sucks , etc". I play for really looong time BICE and I don't think it sucks.

Atilla you're taking this out of proportions mate, he never implied you saying that BLACK ICE sucks so you might wanna re-read his message :)

Also what he wrote was in no way insulting...

SlaySoft does have a point about the fact that you're writing that exact same message on alot of the topics here on the forums, not a bad thing but it does make you look like a fanboy (which you can deny) but that's how people see you by doing so.
