nice but it will not stop crashing i deleted the files in map cache and that will not work either and no online sources say anything that works

The game was originally designed to run on 32 bit machines. The game freezes frequently on 64 bit machines. Evidently, Paradox used to have an alternate version on their tech support site to allow for 64 bit machines but appear to have removed it so this game is now effectively unplayable on newer machines.

My PC runs Hoi4 perfectly, but not this game. The memories are pleasant though
