I can't even play the game right my xbox 1 controller is responding right seems like they have issues. My controller is updated also i cant with this game i might go buy a new controller because of it.

the issue is steam input, if you exit steam the game works fine...i have thru EA App but must close steam or the controller switches between keyboard and button prompts all the time. Obviously if you bought thru steam, this is a major issue as you cannot exit steam i dont think to launch the game. If you can launch thru EA App directly with steam closed then do that until the bug is fixed.

Buying a new controller will not solve the issue.

I was also having issues and getting real pissed. So what the solution is, you gotta go into Steam’s settings, click the controller settings, and if “Use steam input for xbox controllers” is turned on, turn that off. Now you’ll be able to play against AI without the game thinking there’s two controllers when there isn’t.

What sucks is that I’ll have to turn that setting on and off a lot depending on if I wanna play Madden or if I wanna play Clone Hero cause I need the steam input on for my PDP Riffmaster to work with clone hero + RB4InstrumentMapper

There is no solution for this right now... On Reddit there are even players who don't use Steam but are still having issues.

The best work-around which I could find was to keep the left stick pressed towards the right so that both "controllers" remain alighted. Then, with the left stick keeping pushed towards the right I simply click "Ready" to start a game and that seems to reset things.

Of course this isn't a full solution either because if you try to pause the game and resume it later then you'll run into controller issues again.

Disabling steam input for xbox controllers worked for me. Now Im having problems with all the stuttering and choppy framerates. I have to change my graphicks down to low att 30FPS and it still runs not smoothly....anyone have a fix for this?
