How to move from cover to cover?

The game tells me it's the A or D buttons but pressing A doesn't work at the turret section of the first level despite the displayed prompt.

I can't get ♥♥♥♥ to work. This game is such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it's not funny.

It told me to use space. I just ended up running past it. It didn't even attempt to shoot me. In another section the text said to use space and the auto instructions that pop up said to use the right mouse button. O'well if i can get my head around the instructions it might be ok.

okay you have to use A and D to slide from one spot on the wall to another. You have to use space to jump from the end of the wall so you have to slide to the end of the wall first.
