Script exception prevents from starting game

Hello!

I encountered a strange bug which prevents me from starting the game.
After finishing Asura path I started a new game for the Deva run.
After some fights I ran into a program crash. I had to forcibly close the program window because it didn't react.
As I wanted to restart the game, a blue code window appears and another one with "script exception".
I tried a steam check, 4 files were redownloaded but it didn't fix the problem, so I tried a complete de- and reinstallation. But this either doesn't help, the problem persists...

Edit:
Another try by deleting everything on the harddisk which could be related to the game, but even now after reinstalling the game doesn't start... :-(

Well, this is really annoying. Even on my second computer the problem occurs although the game was installed there the first time now.
So this script exception must have something in common with doing the Asura achievement. I cannot finish the game now and I have 4 achievements remaining... :-(

win 8.1 x86, i install that game in summer 2015 for idle cards, after 2 hours i got few cards and close game. Next day, when i try run it, same blue script window appear. Few days ago i install windows 8.1 x64 on new clean HDD - game not run and again blue window appear =)

I ran into this same problem after trying a DLC. Since that I can only run the DLC mode. However, I trace down the error log, and think my problem might cause from the savedata. Then I download the demo game file from official site,and it works. What I do is backup all my savedata files and replace "datasc.ksd" and "datasu.ksd" with demo's. I don''t know if that gonna work,but you can give it a try.

Well, nice to see that after almost 4 years someone gave a hint how to at least bypass the problem, the game works again. Thanks for that!
Unfortunately, with replacing or deleting the files in culprit the whole progress is gone of course. Since it took a lot of time to get to the point where I was in the game I don't know now if I want to start over, also because the whole game is so repetitive after a while.
But I may give it a try sometime - especially since I don't like unfinished games/unfinished achievements. ;-)

Well..., I said backup all the savedata files. I just tried replace my new data1.kdt save data with an old one (data41.kdt 2014 Oct 30th), and it works. Maybe you can watch some walkthroughs and figure out your progress, and then I can try to find my closest save data for you.

I'm trying some games from my backlog and I encountered this problem when trying 99spirits, fortunately I'm used to run Japanese games and I have a locale emulator installed, when running as admin failed, I instinctively tried to run the game using the emulator and, it works.
