PSVR2 is so much better than Quest 3 its not even funny....
I have compared them:
Q3 colors are DULL, the contrast is POOR, the blacks are milky GREY not black....
It is shocking (no exaggeration) how much richer AND brighter the image from OLED is.
PSVR2 has less corner sharpness but its not really something where you go wow thats much better on the Q3, when you compare them. Besides your vision will be focused in the center area, so this is not really a strength for the Q3.

Lastly i consider going wireless not a plus, because of latency, compression artifacts and even WORSE black levels. Besides only newbies do room scale, you will get even tired of standing when you have longer game sessions. Im using a pulley for the cable, for me that is a non issue.

6 hours and i wanna play Cyberpunk with this Oled Vr Screen. I have the hope, this is a Gamechanger for me.
"OC3 is much better thing than this psvr2 if you consider also non-gaming activities"

nobody considers that....as VR is for gaming. period.

Battery is needed for wireless or playing standalone games only. As I said before you could play via cable. But OC2 provides standalone games that you could play directly from it. You could play on your backyard or enjoy a movie outside. Yes battery affects that but it gives you more freedom.
My friend has Quest 3, and even on cable he has limited playtime, as Quest 3 lowers charging speed when you play through the cable to not overheat the headset. There are some 3rd party solutions that overcome that, but you spend even more money on accessories after obligatory replacement of the default headstrap (my friend didn't change it and he has a headache if he plays for more than 2 hours, which never happened during way longer sessions with his Reverb G1, which was way more comfortable on the head, but with crazy short cable, and low resolution, so my friend prefers to play up to 1,5 hours sessions on Quest 3. I have Reverb G2 V2 with cheapest possible no brand ceiling system for cable and no issues.
Yes, you'll need to pay if you want better strap. I don't find default strap to bad for myself, but I read the reviews and got another one in advance. But it's depends on each person. So yes, I would say you need to spend another $20 on the comfort
Not sure about battery. Probably depends on your cable. Default cable is not very long and had not the best output, so I've bought more powerful one for $10. But it also could depend on your pc port
So yes, you need to spent ~30 bucks more to get more comfort

Unless you don't live in the US or other countries with perfect access to accessories for Quest and everything is crazy overpriced, especially that all hardware is overpriced with our currency and wages.

I used my PSVR1 to watch 3D Blu-rays and it was amazing. Plan to pick up the Jaws collection soon just to watch Jaws 3 in 3D. Sucks the PS5 doesn't support those types of discs and I have to keep using my PS4 for it. :balloonicorn:

I've ordered my accessories from China. They do generics with different quality and pretty cheap.

If this will support all of usual Steam VR apps, then you will be able to enjoy 3D/VR movies on PC

Seriously considering this just to avoid the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ meta account system and constant driver ♥♥♥♥ ups. Even if its not as good I still think I'll get one.

Quest 3 has the following limitations
* Fixed Foveated Rendering - means the edges will be lower res than the middle bc no eye tracking
Quest has same res everywhere

* No direct PC connection - means latency and compression from PC
A lie. You can easily connect OC3 to PC via type-c cable. How do you think people play Asgard's Wrath on pc? All your "latency" is pure crap. Maybe some people try to be "more sensitive" to latency that they actually are. Beatsaber plays no problem even with my pc in different room than I am.

No headband - terrible headstrap that is a joke really
You could buy elite strap or lot of different straps for ~$20

OC3 is much better thing than this psvr2 if you consider also non-gaming activities. Mixed reality games, standalone applications and games, wireless make those "true black" colors and haptics to be laughable in comparison to everything else.
You do realize that you can overcharge your battery by keeping your headset plugged in right? Your killing the cycles on the battery as well… I mean it’s just not ideal.

From what I know overcharge protection is something common this days. The battery will surely decrease it's capacity, it's one thing to be considered. But I'm not sure how much time you need to keep it plugged in to see 50% decline. I've had my old laptop which was constantly charging, but even after 4 years battery holds pretty good.

BTW, if you gonna use this much time wired I wonder if your psvr2 cables will break faster than oculus battery. Oculus cable is easy to replace. What about psvr2?

If you want to see how PSVR2 and Q3 compare with through-lens-recordings

https://www.reddit.com/r/PSVR/comments/1elaajg/psvr2_vs_quest3_through_the_lens_comparison/

Yes, the PSVR2 is blurry on the edges and yes, the Q3 is sharp. That's it basically. PSVR2 has got oled screens with nice colors and deep blacks. Since the App isn't available yet i cannot test it yet without the dongle but will do once it is available.

The connection is actually a proper display port connection and not a streamed "over usb" connection like the Q3 uses.
I've got a PCVR2 and a Quest 3, they're both fine. The thing is, there will be a Quest 4, but there won't be a PSVR3 after the total failure to move units while Sony was still manufacturing them.

Don't be so quick to judge.

As he writes in the picture, this is the image from the camera through the lens.
Don't forget that the quest 3 has flat lenses that make it very easy to film.
And ps vr2 has fresnel lenses through which recording with the camera is difficult and does not reflect what you see.

Do you remember recording an old TV with a camera, this is probably a good comparison, the camera sees differently than the human eye.
In the same way, you can record the light of an infrared LED with a camera, and you will see it on the video.

Personally, I watched the whole movie and I think it is biased.
After watching these three films, I lost respect for this filmmaker.
I'm waiting for more reliable videos.

The moment the battery is full, the charging stops.
Why does this old myth of overcharging batteries keeps popping up?

Test it yourself with any modern device with a battery, the charger will get warm when it's charging the device, but when the battery is full it will go back to idle temps because it's not charging anymore, and if it is, it's probably peanuts of idle current.

This ain't your old NiCd battery technology.

Do you own a quest 3? It literally shows it is still charging when it’s at max. Batteries degrade over time. Ask most people that have a quest 2, most of them will say their batteries are trash now.
