no f***ing patch for EU3

i played years before eu3 from downloading it, it was amazing
so i buyed it. first impression: it s not so good as it was in my mind but i played. when i wanted to know some things, i found out that there are many things missing and im missing the patch 5.1 for eu3

The current and last patch for EU3 is 5.2. If you have the Divine Wind expansion it will be applied automatically by Steam.

great -.- i bued it and now i cant play it. when it gets downloaded i see that there are 1gb of data but actually it schows 399 mb to complete

3.2 was up to date for the game you had, which was EU3:Complete (that is EU3+NA+IN). It's not that you are forced to buy the later two expansions (they are not DLCs) to get the latest patch for EU3; it's that if you buy those expansions then 5.2 is the latest patch for it.

The reason you can't play now is likely that you bought the last expansion DW but not the pre-requisite one Heir to the Throne - you need both and Steam for some reason don't tell you when you order DW that you need HttT too.

If you have problems getting downloads in Steam (getting less data than it should be) it's usually best to uninstall, restart Steam completely (exit and logging in again), then re-install. Usually kicks your Steam client right...

For some reason I can't play Europa... I think its cause I have Divine wind only... So stupid.

The only way I figured out you needed Heir to the Throne first was checking the description on Steam. It told me that I had the 4th update when I looked at Divine Wind, but didn't tell me where the 3rd one was, and I had a sneaking suspicion you needed the 3rd one; because I knew Complete came with the first two. At least on Win 8, the thing wouldn't work right until I installed both updates. I didn't make the mistake of installing Divine Wind first though. The tutorial was messed up on Complete, but seemed to work on Heir to the Throne, but it crashed on exit. All I can say is the tutorial, or Trial should I say, for war seemed to work once I installed Heir to the Throne. It stopped crashing after installing Divine Wind. To be honest, getting the tutorials working didn't help much. I'm busy studying the manual now...
