So if you bought the base EU3 game you can play that, but if you then buy Napoleon's Ambition then the base EU3 game has been overwrittenb by NA and is not sseparately available to you any more. All the information and features of the original game are still there, except those that have been superceded. After that In Nomine was released (the three of which make up EU3:Complete) then Heir to the Throne then Divine Wind. But for instance all the events and info re Napoleon and the French Revolution that were added in NA are still there in all later versions, they've just been added to as well.
Why exactly did you want to play HttT rather than DW?
> the only thing I could find is that the option should have been there when I click to play
I cannot imagine where you found that info but I'm pretty sure it was not on the Paradox forums, as that NEVER been the case, as per the above.
I currently have EUIII Complete (EUIII + NA + IN), and I have been looking around at some mods for the game which are compatible with this version. Apparently the Mare Apertum mod is the successor to the Magna Mundi Platinum 2 mod which seems to be quite popular, and this is only available to the In Nomine iteration of EUIII. I am interested in trying out this mod, however I am also very interested in Heir to the Throne.
Once (if) I purchase and install Heir to the Throne, I am effectively cutting off any possibility of ever rolling back to the previous version of EUIII and stuck on Heir to the Throne forever - is this correct? Just want to get an idea of what I am getting myself into should I decide to make the purchase.
Thanks!
Well thanks for the reply!
