The map is much better and I love that every country can flex on you a bit instead of being a steamroll, getting picked on by Hungary every 5 years from 1356 to 1410 was a bit aggravating but made it all the more satisfying when I finally broke them.
Except one really odd thing...core take 300(!) years to set in or to go away. Thats way too damn long, Im only 70 years in so perhaps there are events or decisions that can speed this along.
If not, it seems like Ive already reached the limit of my expansion basically securing the balkans and a bit of the Aegean coast.
I already tried that version of Magna Mundi but it causes the game to CTD within a few minutes.
Thanks both of you for answering.
I am on Windows 7.
C>Program Files(x86)>Steam>Steamapps>Common>EU3
Inside the EU3 folder there are two applications, one will start the launcher and the other will simply start the game up.
My only recent experience was with MEIOU, though I did have Magna Mundi DW installed at some point and I also needed the launcher to apply it.
Using MEIOU required me to copy the entire EU3 folder from this path onto my desktop and then place the mod files inside to get the mod to work.
You will of course want to follow the specific instructions of each mod as to where it should be installed, but it will likely be inside the mod folder on this same path.
I figured out how coring works in MEIOU, it certainly doesnt take 300 years.
From what I can tell its something roughly along the lines of "hold province for 20 years without rebels taking it over, province gets 'gaining control' modifier, hold province 20 more years without rebels taking it over, province is cored"
Its possibly 25 years which would bring it in line with Vanilla, just with extra conditions.
Rebels not taking it over is simply an intuitive guess, I couldnt find much information on the mod.
