I've uploaded in the beta branch a new beta using a more recent Ren'Py version, if anyone wants to try it or if you just bought the game and have yet to start playing, I'd recommend trying that one since has a lot of improvements (original game is of 2014!).

Let me know if you encounter any issues in the beta, I played for a bit and it should work fine.

p.s. save games aren't compatible sadly (well, 10 years of difference between a version and another is a bit too much!)

Is there a list somewhere of what "improvements" the new engine gives? :)

Maybe in Ren'Py official site, not sure. I know for certain that has HW acceleration so should run much smoother (even if it's a relatively simple game tbh).

I love story rich games and this game came up in the search.. is this like a lovely story rich game?

It has 240,000 words of story so I guess so! :)

I mean also is the combat easy enough when playing on easiest mode to enjoy the story? I love strong story games but cannot simply stand grinding, worst case is probably ff5 ..

If you pick easy difficulty, it is really easy and doesn't require any grinding at all!

Strange, if that doesn't work even achievements shouldn't. Maybe it's just a random glitch (they happen often).
