Plan for new games with Saren/Elenor

quick recap: Loren 2 as originally intended (insanely huge game with 16 love interests) won't exist, instead those 16 love interests (8 old + 8 new) will be evenly splitted in 4 games, featuring 2 "old" love interests + 2 new ones each game.

This means that while each game will be smaller than the first Loren (I think, not sure yet), in any case all put together will be way longer than any possible Loren sequel. And also will be able to explore many themes and not just another demons war as originally planned.

All the reasons (burn-out, sequels doing badly, not making sense anymore commercially, etc) are explained in the blog posts :)

This makes me happy. I am one of those people that prefer shorter games. trying to find the time becomes a challenge so when i can enjoy a short story i love it.

One of my favorite things are strong narrative games that you can play in just a single night, but even those that run 6-12 hours i find great. I know lots of folks like the 50+ hour stuff and honestly sometimes so do I, but there is something to be said for a great short story.

Good luck and i look forward to more loren. I found this game about a year ago and really loved it, so please believe me that i'm happy to hear you are making a part 2.

Yes, after An Elven Marriage, the next three games will be (titles are temporary and might change):

Reign of War

This is what the original Loren 2 story was about. The third and final war against demons. Old romances: Mesphit and Draco. New romances: Jul and Breza

Reign of Peace

A story about the riot in the amazon citadel/culture due to Loren’s change of laws (no more slavery, more rights to men). Old romances: Loren and Karen. New romances: Odurat and Nook

The Witches Of Unforgiving Swamp

This is my favorite setting and will be about the fight between the witches and the empire/witch hunters. Lots of cameos with other characters like Vin. Old romances: Chambara and Amukiki. New romances: Selith and Samaras

Thanks for that info! Do you have any word on when we will see the first of these? Sounds like Reign of war is coming first? All sound good though.
