Fullscreen windowed/custom resolution
Hey guys, a quick search didn't uncover any useful info - I'm wondering if it's possible to play this game in fullscreen/borderless windowed mode? For games that don't support this natively I usually just select windowed mode, my native resolution (1920x1080) and then add it to the Borderless Gaming application, however for some reason I can't get it to go fullscreen with Hyper Light Drifter since I can't enter a resolution for windowed mode and it defaults to non-fullscreen. Is it possible to edit the windowed resolution via config files? Or is there some other fix?

If anyone is wondering, I prefer playing in borderless windowed fullscreen because it's just much more comfortable on a 2-monitor setup, and for whatever reason Nvidia drivers horribly wash out the blacks whenever I enter fullscreen mode in a game.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Edit: I'm on the latest non-beta version of the game, downloading the beta update to see if that fixes the issue.

The current beta branch has this feature.

edit: wait - no resolution though - should be possible to manually resize the window though.

I can indeed confirm that the latest beta update does have a "window max" mode which works just as it should :D

It's not working for me. If I set it to Window Max and HLD is the active window, it just locks. If I alt tab to something else, it plays fine in the background...

I'm playing with a gamepad and for me it doesn't lock the mouse cursor at all - I'm free to click around on the second monitor, and more than that, I'm for some reason actually able to be active in two windows at the same time :D For example I can move around with my gamepad in the game while chatting away in a browser on the 2nd monitor.

Guess it's still wonky and works on a case-to-case basis (?)

Have you tried something like Borderless Gaming?

Edit: I'm on Win10 using 361.91 Nvidia drivers, if it makes any difference.

By the way this is actually a problem for keyboard and mouse controls. Since these window modes don't lock the mouse if you are using that as an input you cannot really play that way as you will eventually move it all the way outside/to the border and click outside of the game - in that case making it loose the required mouse focus, disabling your aim. Can only play full screen with a mouse because of that.

Can someone help? I am no longer able to move the game window to the second screen(my tv) because of the new update.

What happens if you try to set display to second screen only?
