Gearbit Tracker

If I may, I'd like to make a suggestion: a Gearbit Tracker in game.

There's what, like 100 Gearbits in the game to find? Maybe more? And NO way to track in game which ones we have and haven't located?

This drives me crazy whenever a game has a ton of collectibles and no in-game method for tracking which ones are collected and which aren't. Even if you don't put them on the map, even something a simple as a numbered list so that I can consult a FAQ and go "hmm I'm missing gearbit 56 which is located at place X" would be a LOT better than just having to recheck them all later when going back to 100% the game. That's just wasteful busywork.

So please, I would really appreciate it if you would at least consider putting in a Gearbit tracker. it can be something we get at the end of the game, or even only in New Game+, but total lack of gearbit tracking is really frustrating.

I think there kind of is a gearbit tracker. How many upgrades do you have left?

You get more gearbits than you can spend. It may be related to enemy drops, or it could be intended so that people can easily purchase all upgrades.

I second that, I have 183 out of the 185 gearbits. I went everywhere and followed the guides. I can't seem to find them and it drives me crazy

Maybe it's just the enemy drops that you're missing? The last gearbit I found was from them.

Nope, I got the 9 gearbits from the patch already.
Actually I only miss 1 gearbit, I found out with all the guides out there that I missed 1 that was very well hidden.
Still I miss the last one and it's really frustrating

Also agreed. All it needs to be is a little mark of some kind, indicating where you picked up one of the placed (as opposed to enemy-dropped) bits.

I'm also 183 / 185 and have followed all the guides. Any chance of sharing what the very well hidden one was (even just a rough description) in case it's one of the ones I'm missing too?

Remember the cave to the north that has a monolith and a big npc bird telling you a picture story? Right to the left of the entrance is a gear bit mostly covered by the overlay ceiling scenery.

That was my last one.

Also about the gear bit tracker. I think it'd be enough if your sprite threw up a little ! (similar to the ? for invisible platforms) when you are very close to a gear bit box. Just so you have a chance to discover the ones that are largely or entirely covered up by scenery (like the one on the overgrown stairs at the first wall climb to the north - no chance to find that without randomly slashing).

Yeah, I don't know how many I have. I have about 20 after all the upgrades, but this gearbit tracker needs to be a thing, or at the very least a gearbit count for each area.

Wow, that's pretty amazing. Thanks for the effort! I didn't plan to do it, but with this I might as well collect all gearbits. :)
