(Unintentional?) Alternate Solution to B-5 "Alley of the Pressure Plates" Puzzle
I figured out the intended solution to this puzzle, but first I was pretty stumped and found out I could just cheese it by: Remove the fan from the area beneath the receiver and place it in the main room. Activate the recorder. Place the box on the first pressure plate to the left of the recorder. Grab the connector, target the laser source, and place it on the second pressure plate. Grab the fan, place it on the third pressure plate, and then stand on the fourth plate for a while. End the recording. Grab the connector and target the ghost connector once it's placed. Once all the plates are pressed, target the receiver by the gate guarding the sigil. Go back to the gate by the final pressure plate and place the connector so that it can reach the ghost connector and the receiver. Run to the final gate and grab the sigil. It seems like this could be easily fixed by adding a wall to the right of the final gate that would block the laser from the side. I hope that made sense.

Yeah, this is indeed unintentional solution and while I don't think it breaks the original puzzle in any way, the problem is that later in the game you will encounter a similar one and "Alley of the Pressure Plates" is supposed to lay some ground basis for that puzzle and advanced recording mechanics.

From the design standpoint I personally would change it, however, according to what I saw so far people tend to get stuck on it, skip or figure out intentional solution, but not the unintentional.

Nicely done.
IMO it's a valid solution, I see no reason to restrict it.
In fact I'm pretty sure some alternate solutions are deliberate, like B-5 "Four Chambers of Flying". You wondered why there's a connector in there? Here's why:

Go back to "Behind the Iron Curtain", reset if you did it already. Use connector to release 2 boxes as normal. Then, put 1 box on fan, one next to it. Use connector to connect fan to source, put connector on pressure plate. Quickly run to the fan grabbing 1 box, jump on top of box over fan. Go to the ledge, drop down next to ladder, put box next to ladder. Leave floting box alone, instead grab box in that area and stack it on top of box next to ladder. Grab connector and go to two pressure plates, run along them and jump on top of 2 stacked box, look below and put connector there. You can do that because plates are slightly higher then floor. It will push you off, climb ladder, grab connector from top. Get on top of floating box, if you can't jump from here, do it like you did it previously holding box, just with connector this time. From floating box jump on the wall, from wall jump on ledge surrounding puzzle, here you can connect to red source, put connector in place visible from "Four Chambers". Get back down to "Four chambers" and use connector to connect red beam to receiver next to gate.
And that solution was, for me, easier to figure out then proper one...

I still haven't figured out a proper solution for that one, but I did manage to do this quite easily: http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/539635527845443744/93BABC0AB1C3A4565634BAC0829C8157EC7A2CD2/
I don't know how to solve Peekaboo! or Throne Room the "correct" way, in Peekaboo! I abused connectors, and in Throne Room I abused connectors.

Peekaboo was straightforward indeed. Can't recall what Throne Room was about but it wasn't hard either afair.

The only problem is in the prototype levels - there's apparently an actual way to solve Peekaboo because you don't have a free connector source coming from the middle.

In Throne Room my red connector was on a wall.

That's how I did it.

Heh, fancy solution, indeed. I'd prefer it as "the only" solution. IMHO "jammer solution" is way too simple.
