Where do I get the key to the moon vision in B2?

I managed to find a small telescope/binoculars. Seems like an easter egg. Though it's usable, all I hear is "bump" and nothing happens. It's written 1. insert the key, 2. use it, 3. watch. I have no key. Help please.

there are two fans. use the other one than you had used before and don't forget to move in the air sideways ;)

I got the key all the way to the binoculars, but it still won't let me use them. Is there a different key than the one I snuck out?

Oh, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥... THAT is the key? I managed to get the key out of the High Ground puzzle! D: If you really care I can explain how I did it.

Yeah, and I didn't need the moon for the star because I snuck out the disrupter too.

Haha, okay, I beat my head on this and it turns out to be an Easter egg for my own game. I will officially stop complaining! Well done Croteam. :D

I have the same problem PersonGuy had. I snuck out the "High Ground" Key to the Moon Vision, but i cant find the "proper" key ;P

I did the same exact thing as you, PersonGuy, and it took twenty tries shuffling boxes around the perimeter. Only to get back to the scope to discover IT'S NOT THE RIGHT KEY. Not really fair design I'd say.

In order to save everyone's time, and because you WILL spend more than an hour looking for the key (like i did) the key is in the puzzle room ontop of which you find the binoculars. It's in the actual puzzle room, not outside it (yes i've searched outside it too). It's actually on a rock, and it's not completely small, so you know what you're looking for. Also, you don't need the key to get a star, as many indicated it reveals an Easter Egg. The actual Easter Egg needs first the moon to be turned revealing the Aperture logo from portal . Once you've done that, using the binoculars, you can see a character from Portal That's the only use i know of.
