Ha. I trapped myself on the wrong side of the gate when I removed the cube with me. I was trying to find a way to activate a star. Just warning not to do it.

That can happen in a number of puzzles. To reset to the start of the puzzle hold "x" for four seconds.

Thanks! I forgot about that. I just reloaded the checkpoint. I've played further and I see that now. I thought they prevented you from getting trapped, so I tried to do so. But I was wrong!

There's no difference between Restart Checkpoint and the reset button, besides the latter wasting your time for a couple of seconds. But this distinction doesn't help because restarting a checkpoint brings up a stupid "You can hold X to reset" even though the whole point of clicking Restart Checkpoint is to save time.
