Apparently, the choice you make doesn't matter.
I hope it really looks like that, I don't remember it very well and I did this from the text files.
Yep thanks ! Didn't see your message.
I really wish I had searched this forum first. i just spent the past 20 minutes translating it through a binary to text translator myself. Oh well.
Foreshadowing for a sequel? A reference of some sorts?
0100 110001 101111 0110000101 10010000100 0000100011 1011001010 1101000 011001010 11011100110 111001 1000010010 000001 0001 100 11011 11011100100 11101010 11011010 010000 0001010000 100 1101011000 0101 101 00101101110001 0100
But the translation I'm getting with a Binary to text converter is: 1/a²heÜ9ÜêÚÖ-1
Then, Galatea typed back: 01010111 01000101 00100000 01000001 01010010 01000101 00100000 01000111 01001000 01001111 01010011 01010100 01010011 00001101 00001010 01010100 01001111 01010100 01000001 01001100 01010111 01001111 01010010 01001100 01000100 00100000 00100000 01000011 01001111 01010010 01010010 01010101 01010000 01010100 01001001 01001111 01001110
Translating to: WE ARE GHOSTS
TOTALWORLD CORRUPTION
But what in the world did my character type?
But that translates to cØÞÚ
Is there some underlying puzzle here?
Then it lets me type one of three identical responses:
0100 0011 0100 1100 0100 1111 01010 0110 1000 101
For which I can't even generate a translation.
First one i'm getting: "Load Gehenna Forum (Main)"
This one is: "Close"
This third is also: "Close"
Xautos is right: you have this weird translation because the converter you used interpreted spaces as separators, but here they are meaningless.
So he thought, for example, that the first character was 0100, which translates(after completing with zeros to have a byte: 00000100) to the ASCII control character End-Of-Transmission (probably displayed on your browser with a square containing the numbers 0004 in hexadecimal, which is 100 in binary, and maybe ignored when you copied it on Steam).
However, since the spaces are just randomly added and have no meaning, the true first character is the first whole byte: 01001100, which is 4C in hexadecimal, and translates to L in ASCII.
Same thing for your first 1, whose ASCII code is (00)110001 in binary.
To generate the correct translation, simply remove the spaces.
