Know Your Limits / Extreme Persistence?
I am on my second playthrough now as I missed those two achievements in the first one. I read about how you are supposed to get those but I am finished with complex A now and he still didn't say his "There is no shame...". I know he did sometimes in my first playthrough and I am pretty sure it already was in A. I tried waiting in puzzles (30+ min), I tried dying really often (20+), I did manually reset multiple times but he won't say a thing. Does it only happen on specific puzzles? I mostly tried red ones.

So if anyone has any suggestions I would be really glad, as I can't do neither of those two right now...

Solved it! See Post #10

Maybe both of them applies only to unsolved puzzles, when you're trying to solve if for the first time.

But that would mean that I couldn't get those achievements at all? I really don't think (and hope!) so, as a new game should not consider what I already did in a playthrough before.

Both have to do with when Elohim tells you that there is no shame in leaving for later or something like that. After he tells you that, get the sigil in that level and you'll get extreme persistence. IF instead you listen to him and go do another puzzle you'll get Know your Limits. Hope this helps.

Yes, I know that. The problem is that he won't say that so I cannot proceed :D
So I wonder if there are other ways to trigger his little speech despite those I mentioned in my first post.

Keep intentionally messing up the puzzle without leaving it.

He spoke to me twice, and it was always on a puzzle with a red sigil and a recording device. I don't know why but it only triggers on puzzles with those recording thingies for me. Could be just coincidence. Sadly, I wasn't going for the achievements then so I just decided to restart the whole game because I'm pretty sure there is a limited number of times he'l speak to you.

I got Know you Limits on a second playthrough, i believe you have to be a red puzzle for him to say it.

Thanks, I'll try that!

That is good to know, I would have been really disappointed if this wouldn't work in a second go.

I really appreciate you're trying to help but did you really read my starting post? :D

You don't have to idle, I think you have to move or really try to solve the puzzle (move a jammer etc.)

I got the two of them now, and I think you are right, you cannot just stand there and let the time pass!

Here is exactly what I did (numbers are minutes):
I did it on Higher Ground, which is a RED puzzle in B2. During the whole time I played as if I wanted to solve it and always got myself killed by one of the two last mines. I took my time, so every run was about 3 minutes.

00 - Go into the puzzle.
03 - Get killed.
06 - Get killed.
09 - Get killed.
12 - Get killed.
15 - Get killed.
18 - Elohim says I should leave the puzzle and try something else. I get myself killed again.
21 - Get killed.
24 - Get killed.
27 - Get killed.
30 - Solve the puzzle, take Sigil, Extreme Persistence unlocked.

RESTORE BACKUP, so the puzzle is not solved yet. Do it again.

00 - Go into the puzzle.
03 - Get killed.
06 - Get killed.
09 - Get killed.
12 - Get killed.
15 - Get killed.
18 - Elohim says I should leave the puzzle and try something else. I leave the puzzle area and Know Your Limits unlocked.

So both times Elohim spoke at 18 minutes. I could imagine that different puzzles might have different times at which they trigger. I hope this helps others :)

It has to be a relatively difficult puzzle. It doesn't happen on the simplest ones.

i got it on the first puzzle with the turret and jammer.
maybe you changed it to only be on harder puzzles?

I just got the Know your limits. Just wander around a map for a very long time and Elohimm will tell you to do something else
young at heart. Mar 12, 2024 @ 5:57pm
I tried getting elohim to say that in later levels to no avail, even waiting 20 minutes, moving around, dying etc., but read in a thread that you just have to wait 10 minutes in the very first level (peephole) and this is actually correct!I think it just takes longer to trigger in later levels because it might be resonable to need 20 minutes to solve a puzzle but on an easy one it isn't, so this is the fastest way to get this achievement.
