Star A4

Not looking for videos or a walkthrough on how to get the star, just a hint to point me in the right direction. I have worked out How to get the red light to the connector that is high up in Branch it Out, and also connected to the receiver at the star to the connector on the pillar But can't seem to figure out how to get the two connected without getting trapped behind the forcefield.

Any hints or suggestions of what to look for? Tried walking into/through all the walls, looking for a laddar, buttons, an extra connector to open up the gate, etc. Found nothing.

Since the patch, it changed how to get the star...

try going to "Above all that..." and connect the "red emitter" to the connector on the column toward the start of the level and then figure out what to do!

Wow, you just proved my last two hours a waste. Was trying to come up with a complex solution when it didn't need to be so complex.
