Hedging my Bets

So I have a question towards this achievment. Hopefully I ended my first play session soon enough (bought it and dived right into it - MAN I LOVE THIS, 7 hours first time, tkaing into consideration that my latest catalogue of games I play are F2P FPS titles q-q and I stopped playing singleplayer things long time ago) I managed to restart form a checkpoint before I did the first tower puzzle.

What I'm asking is: Will I get the achievment if I haven't opened the first gate but I do have the number "1" with 4 red sigils in the top left of my screen, meaning the sigils are now marked and ready for the first gate but not the second.

I believe you need to have 49 red sigils before entering the tower to get the achievement

As long as you don't solve any of the red puzzle gates before you have all 49 red sigils, you should be good to go with that achievement.

Not a contradiction. If you solve a puzzle using the red pieces, you will no longer have 49 siince you need to "spend" however many it takes to do the puzzle. To start to go up the tower you have to solve the first floor gate puzzle. The bottom floor does not count as "going up" the tower.

For some reason the system refuses to give me the achievment even though I got to having all 49 red sigils before entering the tower, on my current play-through. No idea why. Maybe you can't get it if you've made the Deal With the Deceiver as well? :-(
