Game all of a sudden won't start
I've been playing The Talos Principle for a few weeks and all of a sudden, when I tried to start the game today, it wouldn't open.
For context, I'm using Linux Mint 22, with Cinnamon and X11. I have an Nvidia GPU.

When I try to start the game, Steam shows that it's running, but nothing happens. Here are the steps I've taken to troubleshoot so far:

1. Rebooted PC
2. Restarted Steam
3. Signed out of and logged into Steam
4. Verified game integrity (Steam)
5. Reinstalled game
6. Tried beta branch 'previousversion': the game starts, but doesn't recognize my save file and seems to be a significantly older build.
7. Ran Windows build of the game under Proton: the game starts, but the performance is abysmal.
8. Reinstalled Steam
9. Invoked Steam from the command line with `--debug` flag: the game looks to be having a memory allocation issue. Log here[pastebin.com]
10. Checked game logs: the game isn't writing to its log file at all.
11. Invoked game binary from the command line: the game crashes. (related, or just DRM?) Log here[pastebin.com]
12. Cleared game directory after backing up save file
13. Started the game with Steam offline: the game starts, but since I'm offline, there is no Steam Cloud syncing, and I can't use any other online features of Steam.

I'm really hoping someone can help me with this. If you need any more logs or information, please let me know.
