Whats with the Stars and red dots?
So this game seems to be a pretty nice compliment to the frustrating long war. While the challenges are not so dumbfounding yet I got a few questions regarding things I have encountered in the game.

I am at world 3 now and I have mostly gotten all the puzzles I also picked up a few collectibles in addtion to the sigils in each puzzle. I have 3 so far with another one somewhere in this current world. What am I supposed to do with these?

I encounter a slightly more challenging puzzle called Escalating Problem. I have solved it and got the sigil but I am wondering about the certain shrine at the entrance of this area. It also has a few of those barcode based notes but one of them is with my user name... Also I kept being told that I ahve to prove myself worthy... whats the significance. If tts critical to the main plot just point that out instead of spoiling it. Thanks.

By "world 3", I guess you're refering to area A3 ? Still in the same world, then ? :P

About Stars, there are 30 in the whole game, hidden or hard to reach. They're used to get the third (last) ending, the "100% completion" ending.

Red sigils are used somewhere later in the game. You'll understand when you see it. Or maybe you won't use them at all. Your choice.

About the main plot, I understand you could be pretty confused right now. When you'll leave world A, you'll see some more things. Reading every text in the terminals will also help you to understand the real story of the game, putting the pieces together. You'll see that everything has a purpose or means something.

Each world hub has an additional area that is locked behind a puzzle door - stars form the sigils to unlock those doors.

By 'red dots' I presume you mean your increasing collection of red sigils? They unlock stuff... elsewhere... if you choose to go down that route.

The shrines inside the puzzle areas allow you to ask for help from one of the Messengers if you're really stuck. The snags are that you have to find and release the Messengers first and their help can sometimes be almost as cryptic as the puzzle you're stuck on... oh, and you can only ask each Messenger for help once.

Are you worthy? Only the worthy get to ascend at the end of it all so proving yourself worthy enough to do it is a good thing... isn't it?

Wasn't aware this game had a MP component to it. Thanks for the info... I think I will go with the red sigil path at some point and yes you are right I a in area 3 at the base level in the temple area where all the hubs are. THanks for the info... those PC terminals are sort of freaky... it managed to peg my persona down quite well with a handful of philosophical quesitons.

Also there seems to be a pre-recorded clone in two of these areas. Is this another puzzle? I am still trying to figure out the Solar Time Dial puzzle in area 3.

So in area 2 with the puzzle with that shrine. Am I asking for help every time I interact with it? I mean it doesn't matter because I solved it lone before I realized what this was. I thought it was part of mystery till I saw my user name and realized its a wierd online social component of sorts...

These prerecorded clones are no puzzle.

and the other thing is no online thing. It's kind of an ingame solution help. Later you can unlock so called messenger who can help you one time to solve a puzzle. But you probably should save them for later when finally some more difficult levels will appear.

And by the way you are still only at the beginning...

And the thing with the Solar Time Dial Puzzle you mentioned: its the hardest riddle of the game.

But here is a small hint if you have too big problems:

You have to read the QR Code in the middle, behind the terminal

So there were a few odd cases on dsiplay inside the main hub like area which I solved. I have two wierd icons to the lower left but I don't have any idea how to use them. One looks like a cube and the other looks like one of those jammer icons.

Also found some of these QR codes that don't have anything on them. Is this part of a puzzle? Do I need something to enable them? There seems to be quite a few "blank" ones.

You can't use them directly. You unlocked puzzle components, you'll see them in puzzles. If you don't unlock them from the hub, you'll see blue holograms you can't interact with.

QR codes exist in real life. And QR codes in-game are real, valid, QR codes. I hope you understand what to do to read those "blank" QR codes, as there is no other way.

Really? Wow that is pretty interesting. Thanks for the info.

Dude this timedial thing was insane! I had to literally dig up history in google to get this one... I am hoping this is like a very unique puzzle and most of the in game puzzles can be solved without any external help? I think I might have bit off more than I can chew at this point if its not.

As far as I remember, it should be the only one. ;-)

oh good. Havn't had to jog my wits since Riven and Myst 4 or 5 (that electric circuit board puzzle)

Stuck at the same place; and did not imagine the bar codes were real life.

Still being told I am not worthy. Lol; such attitude by a game.

Anyway; on evolution...
Why do modern (Caucasian) men (in particular) grow long beards (or are able to), when you dont see that on African apes:
It infers beards are part of evolution?
The.Spaz. Feb 15, 2017 @ 11:20pm
You are comparing men to apes?

I know I'm late to this game but by red dots I definitely don't mean sigils, there are my red sigils for floor three and then another red dot symbol between that and the stars, with a counter of 1. what are those?

Extra red sigils you already have, but not needed on that floor.
