Road to Gehenna secret island jump

I've collected all 16 stars and freed all prisoners but admin. I try to jump off the world 4 hub island onto the island below to get to the secret puzzles so I can free admin and I just keep falling. Every time. I did the whole DLC without any hints but then I had to check youtube to check my angle on the jump because I keep falling every time and from what I can see there is no difference from people who have done it.

I'm freakin tired of falling, hearing that rewind sound, and waking up to the godawful computer beeping and walking back and doing it again. I've done it like nearly 20 times now.

Is there a secret kind of jump I've been missing the whole game? What is with the timing? Was I not supposed to free everyone first? I'm about to @ croteam over it lmao

After spending time figuring out all these puzzles a dumb jump is what stops me from finishing the game. Thought maybe I'm missing something stupid but I probably just can't jump right for some reason.

Along these lines, I believe this is the jump I had to remap my controls for (cause of my cheap non-gaming keyboard) as you need to hold down the buttons for moving forward, running, and jumping all at the same time.

Exactly, some keyboards doesnt support many simultaneous keystrokes. This might be issue.

PS: To move faster, hold Num0. Or alternatively set another key on the settings. This is for fast forwarding the time and makes you faster, really handy for those long runs on the main Hub

... or just toggle always run in the Options...

I couldn't jump it using my keyboard. I was able to jump it using my controller.
