Climbing Onto Wall Tops Frustration!!!!
Am I missing something?? Just unable to scale any walls no matter what I use. Tried the "W" and Space bar with all the run up approaches I could think of. Got half way in one area ( Little curved cutting in the wall ) but will not jump to the next level. Tried to find the crouch and jump method, which might give me that extra lift needed. NO LUCK!! All the Guides make this manoeuver look very easy. any ideas???

It's a puzzle-based game. Generally you should use cube(s) to get on walls.
If you don't know how to reach some star just say so.

There aren't really any situations where an "impossible" jump or wall scaling is necessary. All the stars and sigils in the game can be obtained by proper planning, really. Almost all jumps can be made by properly aligning yourself and making sure you're standing in the right spot, with a proper base beneath you (cube, etc). When you're in that sweet spot, footprint outlines will always appear where you need to jump to. Once the footprints appear, don't move, just press the jump button and you'll automatically jump to the footprints.

There are, of course, easter eggs that can sometimes only be obtained by a difficult jump or some extremely good timing, but as far as I recall, no star or sigil required that kind of difficult leap.

Thanks for replying. I am not talking about the "Road to Gehenna" version. More the earlier original " I Will Break Your Game : The Talos Principle " version (I suppose), where you go into 'Nexis' hall with the numbered alcoves , you go through each alcove to an open area where you solve the various puzzles to collect the Cigils and return to the "hall", and go through to the next area, and so on. There's definitely no 'cube(s) in the game I'm playing, and the only way to get to some of the Cigils is by going allong wall tops.
Hope this clarifies what I'm getting at!! Then I could be doing it all wrong!!!

I really feel like you must be doing something wrong. None of the sigils should require strange or difficult wall hopping/balancing acts. Maybe an occasional star or two, but not the standard sigils. There are cubes everywhere in the game. I'm not sure how you could miss them, unless you're just thinking that we're talking about something else.

Cube (though it's technically a hexahedron for what reason I don't know): http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/talosprinciple/images/7/78/Hexahedron.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20150217180933

they're everywhere.

If you're stuck on a puzzle that you think needs a crazy wall jump, try searching youtube for a video of that specific puzzle (by name - the name of the puzzle appears when you enter the puzzle room).

Frankie - I know it's been years, but I am just now playing Talos. I think I know why you have no cubes. There are 2 puzzles at the end of the long hall where all the entryways to all the levels are. You have to play the second puzzle, on the right, using the sigils you collected in levels 1-4. This unlocks the cubes. Hope you didn't give up.
