Do choices change things? Can I go back?

Can me doing different things affect the ending? If so, can I go back? I feel like there are so many choices now that will affect the end :/.

The game saves every time you collect a sigil. It also saves every time you interact with a terminal. There should be a long list of saves backed up for your current game. Starting the game over wipes the entire backup.

So if I chose to follow the big voice, and not go into the tower, I have to restart to try the tower? No spoilers please. I just wanna get as much out of this as possible.

Nonono. Don't restart the game or you'll lose your saves. Restarting wipes the saves.

You can do as the big voice says and see the outcome, and then you can reload the last time you got a sigil if you want to attempt the tower next. Then you can reload again and try for the star levels. "Continue" does not restore a save. You have to go into restore save/backup to restore one.

But do not restart your game or all progress will be lost. No backups.
