I am not finding every star either (not so far) but I return trying to look at the layouts differently.
Sometimes you have to think out of the box and dont read if you dont want spoiler of ideas. explore and/or use external areas to access inside areas, walk on walls and energy gates, roofs, cross beams from area to area to gain access, etc. dont read if you dont want spoiler of ideas
I believe you found many, all or even more than these solutions yourself but I set it as spoiler for others that may not want to have these ideas spoiled.
I am enjoying this puzzling exploration too.
Just so I'm not disappointed, I won't expect much from the star ending.
So finally I gave up and cheated and found a hint on the internet. I'm glad I did because I was looking in the wrong places. Anyway, even with the hint it took me an hour to find the last star.
Anyway...I liked the star ending. The "real" ending is of course the best, but I felt this ending actually was very good and complemented the other two.
Was it "worth" it? Considering I've played this game 68.3 hours so far, and probably 80-90% of that was looking for stars, it probably wasn't worth it just for the ending. If I had to do it all over again, I'd probably just look up hints for where to find the stars, and focus my energy on just solving the puzzles instead of spending so much time wandering around trying to find the stars on my own.
Next: Road to Gehenna. (I wanted to finish the stars before starting that.)
Good news! In Road to Gehenna the star ending is totally worth it, and you don't need to find every single star to get it.
