Quick question about messenger islands

Just a quick question about messenger islands...I'm going for the soloist acheivement if I can get it, and wanted to know if I solve the puzzles on the islands, does that stop/block that acheivement? The game wasn't really clear on things...

Nope. Only if you use them up.

I guess I am a little worried as what constitutes using them. So the 'tetris' puzzles are safe, but don't 'pick up' anything like you do with pieces or stars?

Using a messenger is when you call upon them to help with Red Sigil Puzzles. Do not even touch the messenger shrineinside these red sigil puzzles and you will get the achievement.

Perfect...won't touch those (the shrines in the red puzzles) then. Thanks for the help.

You can touch shrines once and still get Solipsist achevement, it kinda asks for confirmation first. Just don't get actual hints.
