Activate cheats so I can fly?

Hiya.

I've seen mention of a cheat that allows the player to fly, and seen a vid on YouTube involving several flyovers.

I'm not interested in cheating at the game, but I've been wanting to at least have a look around at other areas in the game that you can't usually reach.

I'm playing this on the computer; I've seen mention of "console commands," which I'm guessing involves a gaming console rather than a keyboard.

Basically what I'm leading up to is, I'd like to know how to enable the cheats in the computer game, and how to fly myself around for some sightseeing, and of course how to disable the cheats when I'm done. And maybe I missed something, but I've done a search, and haven't found any mention of how to do this.

So, could someone let me know the whats and wheres and hows? Thanks.

Dunno about cheats because I don't care about them, but google for Serious Sam 3 BFE or Serous Sam Fusion cheats, these games use pretty much the same engine and methods/commands should probably be the same.

And you can legitimately fly in one of the levels in Talos Principle, there's hidden jetpack.

In console insert cht_bEnableCheats = 3 which will enable developer cheats. Fly cheat is L on keyboard I think, you can press F3 while in menu (not the main one) for the full list.

Be aware that achievements will not be awarded for the duration of the cheating. To disable cheats, use cht_bEnableCheats = 0 and be sure to load the game from the last time thr cheats were not enabled via restore last backup.

Okay, so I guess the next question is, which part exactly is the "console?" Yes, I'm that green. And where in this console do I enter the cheat enable text?

It's the ~ button, F1 should work too. The game will pause and a little window will drop, and then simply type in the cheat. Once you've exited the console there will be a text in the top right corner informing you that developer cheats are enabled.

When you disable cheats in the same way, there will be a text saying 'cheats enabled', but that is intended.

If you care about achievements, I'd like to stress that they won't be awarded during cheating, and in the *same* saved game afterwards. So, after you disable cheats and want to get some achievements, you'll have to load an older saved game where cheats weren't enabled via the 'restore backup' in menu.

Got it to work, thanks. Lots of fun being a robot Superman, got a really nice view of the game areas. These guys really rock on the details! Got some nice screenshots, but back to non-cheat play, now that the novelty's worn off.
