1. Remember that you can pickup connector in two ways: One where it forgets its connects and one where it doesn't This can make things easier.
2. A connector can be linked to multiple locks/sinks at once
3. Don't be afraid of locking yourself in
And to extend hint 2: You can connect a connector to multiple sinks and the sinks can have different color
Using the windows is certainly important.
I have to go offline for today now, but I will leave behind another few hints:
1. In this puzzle, it's often important to NOT place your connector as
source -> connector -> sink(s)
but as source -> connector A -> connector B -> Sink(s)
2. Combine above with my earlier hint of connecting a connector with sinks of different colors
At this point, do some more tries before reading 3
3. By combining 1 and 2, you can make connector B open different doors by switching out the source of connector A. Use in combination with windows and carry around connectors.
I've never heard of this before. What do you mean? Is there a special keypress combo to do that?
left mouse button = connector forgets all current connections
right mouse button = connector keeps all current connections
EDIT: O...k. So it does work in Talos 1 as well, I solved the whole game up until this last puzzle without it, let's see if this helps me... :)
I've solved every puzzle in the game on my own, including stars, but got stuck at this very last one because I didn't know of the right-click connector mechanic that lets them keep connections
