If it helps, this video at this point shows the connector going airborne with the use of a recording in Time Flies: https://youtu.be/Nsj-VSbJzMU?t=738. That is what I can't get working. In the video, when he exits Time Flies, the connector stays airborne. When I exit Time Flies, the recording stops immediately and therefore, the fan stops, and the connector drops to the ground again.
Edit: Hmmm, the video playback doesn't seem to honor the timestamp. It is at 12:18.
