I've always used the red laser from Cube Driver.
For fun, I decided to try it from all levels except Crater and that's the result. There are a number of far more broken tricks I could use to make it much simpler, but that's no fun.
I have a feeling that if you enjoy this kind of challenge, you might enjoy some of the things we've put together in the talos speedrun community. Things like seeing how many sigils we can collect with restrictions like no Use pressing (no left clicking) or no jumping. There's a lot of creative ways to solve puzzles in this game.
Wow, completed threefold! I knew this game was breakable, but I never would have discovered half of what you showcased. However, the method I used doesn't require the player to go out of bounds or jump to unintended locations, so maybe that could be an additional restraint.
You mention you're a member of the game's speedrun community. I'm curious how many of these specific tricks you already knew, and how many were improvised using your knowledge of the game.
Regarding the stuff in the other vid. Some of it is used in actual runs so I knew about it, like the jump off the fan boosted cube in Cube Driver. Most of it is just having a decent knowledge of what's likely to work though, thanks to spending too much time in this game.
I would say that's unintended in this case. Nevertheless, you're not far off from what I had in mind.
That's the one I've been using all along. It works, plus you can drive a blue or red beam as desired.
