The top of the tower
Is it as nearly impossible to figure out as it looks? Does it always start to break up and restart if you don't "keep up the pace"? I went through the game twice. I fell for "eternal life" on the first one; became a Messenger on the second one. I know the purpose is to get to the very top and be "installed" in a real physical body. The purpose of the intended program developed by the dying team of humans, anyway. I despair of reaching it.

If you are having trouble solving the "Tower" there are dozens of videos showing how to do it.
Here is one for instance:

I figured that much out, but it still doesn't make much sense. The videos are so long I can't remember everything. I do know though, that the video runs much longer than the level survives in my attempts.

The thing to remember is that if your robot friend is WAITING for a barrier, fan, or elevator, OPEN/ACTIVATE it. If your robot enemy is blocking your path find an alternate path or trap it.

Why do you call the one that blocks you "her" and the one that helps "him" ?

Implied gender thourgh their name and fragments of texts. Don't worry too much about it, they're all toasters anyway, like you.

Ah, I am now the serpent to your acolyte.

Samsara is not a female name, it is the sanskrit term for the wheel of becoming - the endles round of life and death until reaching Nirvana. Sheep can indicate male or female without additional qualification. I assume it is "sheep" to Elohim's "shepard" and therefore not gender specific. In my reading of texts, I noted chiefly that none of the texts could be considered gender specific. This is to be expected in a virtual world populated by mechanical creatures.

Your gender assumptions tell more about your thinking than what is actually contained within the narrative. If you think in more than one language it could be the result of noun gendering in the romance languages. I used to know an hispanic girl who called all turtles "she". In Spanish, it is "la tortuga" indicating a "female" noun. Samsara sounds "gendered", but is not.

Definitely that, indeed. I'm French, nouns have genders here too, and Samsara definitely sounds "female" indeed. And well, the French word for "wheel" is "female" too, so it doesn't help. x)

Can't say anything for barrymead though, private profile. :v

Edit:
Thanks for the meaning of that name by the way.

You are welcome, but I thought a lot of sanskrit terms were common knowledge. Maybe my sojourn through Zen, in my youth, gives me a different mindset.

Well, I did finish it and got all the way to the top and invested in a real body. Where is the cat?

I have seen three endings and I have become aware there are an absolute ton of easter eggs in this game. I may have to go through it again, slowly, to try and find them all.

The cat appears in the ending only if you found it earlier, somewhere. :P

Hmmm... That sounds like another challenge to overcome.

Oh you thought you had to start all over for a new ending? Oh I'm so sorry you could've restored backup
