Is it worth it? Is there any endgame content?
I'm on the fence for this. Heard that it runs like ♥♥♥♥ and that it takes like 9-10h to complete.
But the reviews are positive and reviewers playing it said it was fun.

Is this game worth it? Does it has some replay value or better yet endgame content? Can a decent PC run this game fine? Does it has a decent progression system? (looked like just a simple skill tree from the reviews I saw)

You need a beefy computer to play on higher qualities. The game is fun, satisfying shooting, wide array of weapons to use against lots of different enemies.

I wouldn't say it has replay value unless you count playing on higher difficulties and with more enemies, though it does have co-op and survival.

There is progression - with the skill tree and obtaining stronger weapons, gadgets, and addons for weapons as you play through the campaign.

It's currently on sale and I'd encourage you to try it, first few levels are a bit slow, but it picks up its pace. You can always refund if you have issues or don't enjoy it.

I see, so far it's not bad. Not great, but not bad either. Does the survival have anything like unlockables or something to work towards?

How many hours are the game's worth? I tend to value that at least the game's number of hours be worth the price asked (with exceptions to intense experiences like VR headsets for example).

Survival is just waves of enemies, at the end of each wave you get new weapons and skill points. The goal is to last as long as possible. You get medals for each map depending on how long you lasted (bronze, silver, gold).

The campaign is about 9-12 hours long on normal difficulty. It can get longer if you look for secrets. There are also great workshop maps available.

The game is on sale right now for a very reasonable price. Well worth the amount of time you will put in to it if you end up enjoying the game. "End game" content though? No, not at all. You can find skill points throughout the campaign but honestly, even a maxed out skill tree isn't going to make a huge difference in how the game plays. You can unlock all of the most effective skills (like dual wielding) in a single playthrough.

There's the survival mode which is sort of meant to be a way to jump right in to the action after beating the campaign, instead of going back and replaying the campaign. But it's just fighting off waves of enemies in arena-style maps until you eventually die. Then you're scored based on time survived, the difficulty, and other stuff. But the wave based survival mode is not like Killing Floor for example where you can level up perks to unlock new skills. There's no progression system or anything. But there's no real reason for that to exist in a game like this anyway.

If you aren't sure if your hardware will manage or that you'll end up enjoying it, then just try it out and then request a refund before you hit two hours if it ends up running poorly or you find that you don't like it. You should easily be able to make a decision within two hours. This game is not that complex.

Endgame? There is more content in Steam Workshop.

Quality may vary.

Survival is a lost opportunity then, they could have gone the Killing Floor route and have some persistent progression system where the more you played the better stats, weapon upgrades, character skills, etc... you could get.

Ok thank you all for your inputs, I'm considering the purchase because campaign seems fun enough and have the possibility for refund in case performance is really bad optimized.

Get any of the other Serious Sams first in my opinion. This one hasn't received the support it needs to run better and while some things they tried are fun concepts, the whole package is just less than SS3 or SS First and Second encounters. That said, if you go with SS3, just know the first few levels are a bit of a drag (so stick with it).

This poster said it quite eloquently.
