Game is great don't get me wrong.. but I've just now seen all the talk about the so praised Legion System.. honestly, if I was one of the dudes hoping for it to be implemented, I would feel very betrayed

It was a painful one, at that. But to be fair, if every level had an area with 500 enemies at once, even the weak ones, it wouldn't be so fun unless you had the gadgets to clear them.

No, it isn't, with the hype of being sold on 1000s of enemies which turned out to be absolute bull. You all can make up any kind of excuse you want to to make it ok in your minds, but the fact is Croteam mislead the public in advertisement. This so called Legion system shouldn't have been advertised as a thing at all and is nothing more than an ordinary stage prop.

Did they ever actually say how the legion system was supposed to work? Can map makers spawn that many enemies at once?

The way I thought it would work was that enemies would form groups (squads) and use basic tactics to overcome the player. Nothing fancy, just interaction between different enemy types to keep us on our toes.

Uhh, no idea about "meme". The Legioj system was a lie, just since this teaser. Nothing even remotely similiar happens in the game.

towards the end of the game there is loads of enemies on screen even on lower difficulties. on that level that never happened, but damn close when you're in a mech
