How SS4 could approach switching between weapons
I am replaying Serious Sam: The First Encounter HD and what I realized is that the switching between weapons is actually very akward after I played DOOM (2016). In that game the time slows down while switching weapons which feels a lot more agile. It would be great if CroTeam would add that in the new Serious Sam installment or at least make it optional via settings.
What is your opinion on this topic?

Not a bad idea.
But I think the weapon switching was always a thing you need to master.

You are right, sort of. But in an intense firefight I personally would have choose the way of switching weapons while the time slows down instead of the method currently used in previous Serious Sam games. I often had the case that I took the wrong weapon for the wrong enemy and it personally annoyed me sometimes that it took more time than it should have.
I got used to it after some time, but I noticed after I come back to Serious Sam that I always needed some time to get used to it again. ^^

Well, the circle was made for console gamers and i don't actually see any reason to implement this in PC, but why not. Like, people who gonna play the game with high dynamic action can always bind weapons to the closest to the left hand buttons and people who gonna play the game casually can use the circle.

I dont really like the weapon wheel, but I dont see a reason to not add it I guess. Maybe add some kind of downside so that the hardcore purist dont get upset.

Thanks for the input. While we do have some ideas of our own on this, and a reason behind every design choice we make, we love reading feedback and suggestions. :)

I'll present it to the team and see what they do with it.
