But I think the weapon switching was always a thing you need to master.
You are right, sort of. But in an intense firefight I personally would have choose the way of switching weapons while the time slows down instead of the method currently used in previous Serious Sam games. I often had the case that I took the wrong weapon for the wrong enemy and it personally annoyed me sometimes that it took more time than it should have.
I got used to it after some time, but I noticed after I come back to Serious Sam that I always needed some time to get used to it again. ^^
I'll present it to the team and see what they do with it.
