Funky wouldn't be the right word to describe the pre-alpha footage whatsoever. It looks pretty bland at the moment.

Also, when I first noticed the two screenshots of what seems to be an oil rig in Russia, I was sure the game was already close to finished. I was proven wrong along with others. In fact, I don't even know how far SS4 is in development anymore.

CroTeam is probably integrating dynamic skyboxes for a year now. The game was probably already finished last year :D
