No, you can rig it with another 3D modeling program like; Blender, Maya, 3DsMax, etc.
I uploaded the sniper as an FBX and animated with the moves seen here. This animation is a combination of 5 Mixamo animations.

Fuse on Steam is Dead, you'll be needing another 3D modeling program to do the rigging.
Check the guide section for tutorials.
3D characters, Fuse or not, can still be uploaded to Mixamo (also free) which is being invested in, a little bit ago we added a bunch of new characters and now we're tooling some backend updates. Allegorithmic/Substance and (formerly Oculus) Medium VR joining the crew has generated more momentum for the 3D group.
We never set out to disappoint anyone with Fuse, the original version was built by just 4 people, but we still were still hoping to make something really great for indie artists and game devs. I know that doesn't much help the community's feelings of being let down. I hope in the future we can come up with something new and exciting, for now keep your eyes on Mixamo.

All the best
I wonder how long will take adobe to also screw substance pack...
TYLER, DUDE! Good to see you're still around man...
I was extremely upset when I heard the news about FUSE being shelved in Sept, however, we wtill have FUSE here on Steam. Not as robust as CC, but still manageable, as long as the Auto-rigger doesn't disappear.
Passed my condolences on the shelving to Bad Turtle and expessed my wishes that you guys had had the chance to upload 1.4 to Steam before the take over (it would have been great to have the flexes ability available in the exports for upload to the server.)
Anyway, it's too bad that FUSE is disappearing, it was a really handy tool. But as a closing note, The auto-rigger if it remains is still going to be beneficial to the Indie and amateur animator, we can still do stuff like this from it.

We're not quite sure what the Fuse CC sunsetting means for Fuse on Steam yet, as their licensing mechanisms are completely separate. Substance Painter is sold on Steam and Medium VR is still downloaded through the Oculus store, so there are other weird situations. I'll be sure to let you know. You can still download Fuse CC now for free, I believe it should still function as a stand alone app after September, it just won't be available for download.
Btw if you're interested in more substance materials, there are a looooot of resources available on Substance Source and Share

Good to see you too Jack :) Glad people are still kicking around. The autorigger will still be kicking ass and taking names for the foreseeable future, it's a critical in-road to the Mixamo pipeline. I saw that the Alyx SDK was released recently with a whole new Anim graph system, hope Mixamo animations play well with it, I'm curious/excited how that and Source 2 is going raise the bar on SFM stuff!
If Fuse is sunsetting can it be converted to opensource that community can continue it's development?
Fuse then will be more stylised character creator compared to makehuman or VRoid Studio.
I need to check how many license I still have to Substance. I bought it from Unity store way back and now I have updated 3rd time my computer. (also changed laptop few times)
Still hobby gamedev :)
Or do all rights to use and distribute belong to Adobe?
When a company buys software like this, they buy the rights to any future development. Mixamo, uploaded the latest stable version to Steam before they were bought out and they were in Alpha developing version 1.4, it had not been released under the Mixamo flag. So, that means that Adobe owned it outright and Steam lost and is stuck at version 1.3.
Don't expect any support or updates if you use it and
Welcome to BigBusiness101.
Maybe Adobe will give them back the rights and do the right thing =)) and then EA will drop DLCs, will launch only games that are finished and tested and no microtransactions =))=))=)) and we will all live happily ever after :D
