Steam OST information
Anyone who bought the OST, it should now download and show up in the steam Music Library; it should also be in the Cosmic Star Heroine folder in your steam install subdirectories.

If it doesn't show up in your Music Library, I recommend first exiting steam and opening it back up again and seeing if it starts downloading. If not, definitely try Verifying the Integrity of Game Files (right click on the game, Properties, Local Files -> Verify Integrity of Game Files). It should say something like, Game files not verified, redownloading now. Once done they should show up in the Music Library.

If you still can't see it in steam within Library > Music - try the following.

1. Go to your steam directory and into the Cosmic Star Heroine folder, so for me thats "Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cosmic Star Heroine". You should see the whole soundtrack sitting in the root folder here.

2. Once here, make a folder called "soundtrack" and place all of the soundtrack (including the "Read me!.txt") into the folder called "soundtrack".

3. Go to Steam, click on the View tab at the top, go to Settings, then Music, and scan for music. It should then pop up in your Music tab under Library. And you're set!

Oh sweet. I missed the Kickstarter and so the chance to pledge for the soundtrack. Purchased!

Absolutely loving the soundtrack. Fits the game perfectly and is nice to listen to standalone.

I'd rather buy it via Bandcamp anyways. Higher percentage of money for HyperDuck and it's in my Bandcamp app should I want to stream it. You'll have a purchase from me soon simply because it's on Bandcamp.

As soon as it gets available on Steam, I'll buy it for sure :)

Thanks guys - means a lot to Dan & myself. As soon as Valve approve it, it'll be up.. but sadly we're still waiting on that :(

Kickstarter Backer here. Could we get a Steam Code for the Soundtrack instead one for Bandcamp Code?.

I'm afraid not - it's fairly straight forward to download though, and you have far more format options with bandcamp than you do with Steam. I'd personally recommend using the bandcamp code you got and redeeming it at https://hyperduck.bandcamp.com/yum !

Sad to hear that but I guess in that case I will just wait till the Soundtrack will show up on Steam and then trade it with someone that prefer to have all their Game Soundtracks on Bandcamp instead on Steam.

Any information on if the Soundtrack will sell for the same among as on Bandcamp?

Thanks. That will make trading it a lot easier :)

It seems to be finally available on Steam right now for those interested. Good job on the soundtrack by the way, It felt like I was playing a good old classic jrpg.

Battle music should have more straightforward times. I know it's boring to perform when you have a deep understanding of music, but people generally want something to keep their blood pumping. The changes are interesting but slow things down. Not talking about shots or halftime or doubletime, or brief transitions to 6/4 (which still feels 4/4 to regular people tapping along), but the signature changes into dropped beats or less common Dream Theater-esque signatures.

Just a thought.

Hey yep it is on the steam page, I'm not entirely sure if it's working yet. Waiting on the devs confirming that, there will be a bundle version as well but I'd assume that'll only be useful for folks who haven't bought the game just yet.

And what a thought! How did I not think of this before? So I've taken your advice and I went the "simple" route shall we say. Hired Barney in from the loveable cast of the Simpsons to help achieve that "simple" sound, here's a sneak peak of the new revamp on the Boss Battle "Critical Juncture" for example: https://www.dropbox.com/s/axzizxx7izk724j/CSH%20-%20Scary%20Boss%20Battle%20Also.mp3?dl=0

Thank you for your sage wisdom, I don't think this could have been improved without your guidance, oh Senpai my Senpai.

...the first guy may have been a bit condescending, but that was a pretty thinskinned response. Stuff like that can hurt a game's reception, and it's not worth it. Better to follow one of the best rules ever applied to internet arguments: "Do Not Engage".
