And you'd have it in a New Game+...
I have seen guides where people glitch and get the armor early but that defeats the purpose of actually doing it legit when you are meant to obtain it which is at a later point in the story.
Having the most OP armor as early as possible to be able to cheese most of the game basically defeats the purpose of having some sort of challenge... just get it the normal way and then use it for end game and the frozen wilds DLC.
For the DLC it is definitely very useful cos the machines deal a ton load of damage otherwise... moreover you can do the entirety of the DLC just before you are due to do the final story quest assuming you have done everything else in the main story and have 99% progress.
Yeah and it made NG+ on ultra hard literally a joke... I was able to speedrun through the story just to get the last 3 achievements in a matter of like 10 hrs.
I had the true ultra hard experience on my NG playthrough instead where I achieved 100% stats completion. This is the real challenge of dealing with OP machines and super expensive costs for items. Eventhough you can change the difficulty even on UH (in NG), that is another cheese that you should not do to be true to yourself.
And it might be shocking for you, but not everyone is looking for an ultra hard challenge when playing a game. Some just play games for fun, to relax...
Yeah, I was the same. Shield-Weaver + Explosive grenades = NG+ Ultra Hard becomes easy mode.
Hell, just to make this even clearer: first thing I did in this Remastered version was import my old NG+ Ultra Hard save that's made just before the final mission after you defeat the game. Then I went and played through that whole mission, without any kind of preparation or even reminder of how the hell the controls worked, and without stocking up on various loot that I really could've used, and I still ended up easily completing that mission -- way too easily IMHO.
Yup, I agree on this as well. Though since I don't want to subject myself to the merchant prices and aggressiveness of NG Ultra Hard, I ended up playing through the game on Very Hard instead.
I did both NG and NG+ on UH difficulty but only NG+ counts in this game. I wanted to experience the real challenge of how hard UH difficulty is and it is rough. Hunting grounds are quite challenging and the DLC is quite brutal.
On NG+ I skipped all side quests and just rushed through the main story quests alone as I had already done everything in the game on UH in my NG playthrough.
On HFW, u can do UH on NG or NG+ and get the achievement and I already have it unlocked after completing the main story on my NG playthrough.
There is always story difficulty if you want to have a fun easy ride of the game and not suffer through it.
If you want to play on a higher difficulty, you need to be ready for what is coming and have that skill to handle it. Looking for cheap ass shortcuts to make things easy is cutting corners IMO and clearly indicates a skill issue.
If thats the case then why should you get early access to the armor that allows you to tank a hit with zero damage taken in the process... thats as good as using some kind of cheat code to unlock stuff.
On NG+ u have everything from the start... shield armor + all high tier weapons and coils which makes even playing on UH difficulty an absolute joke.
..
What exactly do you want? You're complaining that games being easy is no fun, then also complaining that you can't get the armour that makes the game much easier until late in the game.
