Rosetta emulation and good ram to avoid bottlenecks should all be fine with M2.
Apple sound glitch with CS has been a issue at times, here and there.
It really is Apple support.
Give a day or two for a Apple user to respond, as well.
It turns out it is a Microsoft Teams driver that was causing interference. After removing it and restarting the computer, I once again have sound!
