Does Tax Office actually do anything?

it says it gives me more control over taxes, but i cannot find any extra tax options anywhere to adjust....

None of the Unique Buildings currently do anything more than provide Leisure and a step to opening the Monument(s) you want to build.

Maybe they'll add some additional functionality to some of them. But for now, only what has already been said.

Which is weird, because it specifically says on the info screen that it gives us more control over taxes. In reality, it gives us absolutely nothing.

Also, how does a tax office count as a leisure space!? Yeah, on my days off, I go to the TAX OFFICE! Hey, kids! I got a treat for you! We're going to the TAX OFFICE! *high pitched* YAY! TAXES!

The way the game was coded, it's impossible to add any real features to the game. Don't count on that changing any time soon.
