"Stuck" drivers
What causes this? I worked on a large community sports complex but had unexpected high volume of traffic. Spent considerable hours trying to rework roads & timed traffic lights to finally get it running smoothly. Only to come back later and see one idiot driver evidently talking on his cell phone causing a massive backup & creating the problem all over again. It is like the game purposefully has gremlins roving your city trying to find a key spot to create havoc.

@Cyber. Well something else I didn't know TM:PE took care of. It seems to have helped traffic move even better. I'm assuming it governs whether a vehicle can pause in an intersection?

It's to allow/disallow vehicles to enter a junction not sure why it plays up but by clicking this it fixes it for me. I can still assign give way and stop signals too.

Thanks. It operates like a "cheat" when you see cars going thru each other in intersections. But as long as it prevents the mile long backup it will allow me to move forward til I can come back & redesign the park.

I've experienced this same issue from time to time.

It is most likely a TMPE issue. Not with the mod itself but rather a residual setting that has been made or left behind following subsequent changes. An example might be where lane connectors force traffic straight ahead but a traffic light allows a turn. The vehicles waits to turn but can never make the turn because lane connectors disallow it.

In your image perhaps replacing each road surrounding the problem with the same road again. This will/should return all settings for that junction to default.

It is not clear which direction the road through the (Evans Street) parking lot takes where that car is waiting. Perhaps change the direction or make it a mini one-way system, if not already.

Nodes which are too close together will significantly slow traffic flow. Undesirable, but there would still be movement. Broken Nodes Detector mod can find these and other things.

Not really a cheat but a hotfix of sorts, TMPE will work fine on hundreds of my roads/junctions but now and then i experience cars or vehicles stopping that are blocking up traffic 9/10 times their looking for a parking space even when AI advanced parking is on.

Cims seem to also get confused from time to time so i regularly click on TMPE's Reset stuck cims and vehicles to try that too, although many times i have to delete the vehicle that's blocking manually on top of this.
