A stadium has trams, metro, busses and trains available in my city.
Sounds like I should put it on a four-lane road. I have train/metro/bus nearby.
Here's what the wiki says:
https://skylines.paradoxwikis.com/Match_Day
During a match I get around 550 visitors.
Note, the intention is to build all round the stadium. I just haven't expanded that far yet !!

The Noise Pollution for the Football Stadium really high, making people living nearby sick.
I usually build my stadiums right next to the commercial district (tourist trap), with an airport nearby to bring in the most wealthiest cims, with trains nearby to also help get them in and out quickly.
I have tourist districts (After Dark DLC) across the street, with lots of commercial/unique buildings, to gets tourists to spend all of their money before they leave. Tourism districts are suppose to simulate an overnight stay and keep them in the city longer to spend even more money.
But in your layout, the tourists have nowhere to go, except back home to the outside connection with a lot of money left in their pockets.
I band all cars in the area. Trucks can drive into the area. Services can as well.
I build easy access to and from the highway with a big parking lot(s). One way in. One way out. Traffic doesn't cross over itself to get on and off the highway. So, no long lines. Cars quickly get on the highway to leave when the game is over. Or can get in with zero troubles.
I never use trains they aren't worth the pain or huge money lose. But I do run metro to the parking area.
To get into the area Cims have to go through a park. Yes, it's a money grab. But I do build a full-blown park. Cheese but with at least effort building a park. That park makes 120K+ on game days and around 50K when it isn't. They pay getting in. They pay getting out. There is no other way to get there unless they pay.
Inside the area is transit. That takes people through the area if they like. But with walking paths everywhere in the area they never much get overused. Everyone knows Cims will walk over just about anything if given a chance. Paths do that. Those paths are packed.
Metro takes the masses there. Then once there it's through the park. Then either they take a tram to the stadium or walk. Buses around the commercial area or walk. Most of the time the Cims walk. The paths are crawling with Cims.
You really don't need tons of mass transit to get people to and from an area like this. Banned cars inside. Walking paths. 1 Metro line. You'll have about zero traffic.
Traffic isn't a problem. I don't let cars go in. There isn't any need. Just like you don't drive your car inside Disneyland.
Design an area to have no traffic and you'll have no traffic. I just wish there was paid parking in City Skylines. Oh man the money you could make with parking lots that are always full.
I build the leisure districts around my stadiums to give fans a place to get drunk at after the game. Didn't think to do the tourism one because I build those at the beach. Maybe I'll try making both nearby next time I build one...

I have one single, long, bus route into the stadium. It follows a one-way system around the stadium so avoids traffic cutting across each other at junctions. Currently it pulls in around 650 people for a match. I have the free public transport active, but not the security option.
I have no intention of adding a rail link. But from what I read above it makes it sound like 1,000's of people will flood the area. The building capacity is only 750 so I'm not far from that number any way. Do stadiums really attract 1,000's when capacity is only 750 ?
This is my first time using the match day DLC so don't really know how to use it.
Its the one in my current town. I placed it by the 4 lane arterial road, but the building faces the 2 lane local road. ihave a bus stop and a metro station right next to it. So traffic is not an issue at all. Also Im playing with perpetual daylight.
Ill place the campus district in its vicinity once I get the DLC.
