so i wanna get this game cuz its on sale and got the base version. now im planning to get the deluxe version but steam isnt giving me a refund cuz i have the base game...

The deluxe version only has 5 buildings in it, plus some music and a artwork booklet.

Not really worth it, imho, and I purchased it and rarely use it. YMMV.

You could refund the game, and then purchase the deluxe version if the refund is accepted.

You are hardly missing out in anything.

Once you start using modded assets from the Workshop, you will forget whatever content the deluxe content ever offered, and depending on how much content you subscribe to, even most of the assets of the base game itself.

Yes, but to reiterate, the content available in the Deluxe pack is hardly worth that much money. I would save it for a DLC instead, any expansion pack, or even the Asset DLCs, would be a better investment.

Personally I think it is worth the coin. To unlock the workshop Eiffel Tower for example, you need 30,000 industry zone squares used.
