Maybe something else is affecting my game? I spent over 100 hours on this save I really don't want to lose it :(
Do themes break the game too? I have some themes but haven't changed anything.
Not sure what kind of effect this has on the game, but best to unsub from it.
I would unsub 'Smart Intersection Builder' as well, considering it can cause simulation errors. Use interchanges from the Workshop instead.
I also updated the list of mods from my old save, it wasn't complete (i extracted the old compatibility list)

edit: I ran the game with taskmanager in the background and noticed memory usage go well beyond 97%. Seems like there is a memory leak somewhere right?

Also suggest that if you haven't already done so you immediately back up ALL of you .crp game saves to an unattached offline hard drive for safe keeping. As you may or may not have heard CS has promised to release CS2 some time in the next 6-7 months and there's NO guarantee what shape CS1 will be in or that it will even exist after the release.

It still sounds like you are running out of memory. Can you post the memory results on the loading screen mod. There are four rows of numbers. Take a screenshot a little after it loads all of the workshop.
